Your journey begins in the morning with pickup from your hotel or the airport in Casablanca. You start by visiting the impressive Hassan II Mosque, located on the Atlantic Ocean and known for its beautiful design and size. Afterward, you travel north to Rabat, the capital city of Morocco. Here, you visit the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of the Oudayas, which offers great views over the river and ocean. After exploring the city and enjoying lunch, you check in to your hotel in Rabat and relax for the evening.
After breakfast, you leave Rabat and travel to Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities. You visit Bab Mansour, the old medina, and learn about the city’s historical importance. The journey continues to the Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where you walk among ancient columns and well-preserved mosaics. After lunch, you continue to Fes, arriving in the late afternoon. You check in to your riad or hotel and enjoy a quiet evening.
Following breakfast, you enjoy a full-day guided tour of Fes, one of the oldest and most important cities in Morocco. You explore the ancient medina, visiting Al Quaraouiyine University, Bou Inania Madrasa, Nejjarine Fountain, and the famous leather tanneries. As you walk through narrow streets and local markets, your guide explains daily life, traditions, and history. You also stop at panoramic viewpoints overlooking the city. After lunch in a traditional restaurant, you return to your accommodation for the night.
Leaving Fes in the morning, you travel south through the Middle Atlas Mountains. The scenery slowly changes from city streets to green hills and forests. You stop in Ifrane, a clean and peaceful town often called the “Switzerland of Morocco.” The journey continues to the cedar forests near Azrou, where you may see Barbary monkeys. After lunch, you drive through mountain landscapes and small villages toward Midelt, a town located between mountain ranges. You check in to your hotel, relax, and enjoy dinner before spending the night.
After breakfast, you leave Midelt and head toward the desert. The road descends into the beautiful Ziz Valley, offering stunning views of palm groves, rivers, and oasis villages. Several stops are made for photos and short walks. You pass through Erfoud, known for fossils and date palms, before arriving in Merzouga in the afternoon. Here, you prepare for a camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes. Riding your camel through the golden sand, you enjoy the silence of the Sahara and watch the sunset before reaching your desert camp, where dinner, local music, and a night under the stars await.
You wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, followed by breakfast at the camp. This full day is dedicated to exploring the Merzouga area at a relaxed pace. You may visit nomad families, discover desert villages like Khamlia, and learn about local desert life and music. There is time to walk in the dunes, relax, or enjoy optional activities such as sandboarding or a 4×4 desert excursion. You spend a second night near the dunes in a hotel or desert camp.
After breakfast, you leave the Sahara and travel west through changing landscapes. You pass through Rissani, a traditional market town with a strong desert history. The journey continues to the Todra Gorges, where you have time to walk between the high canyon walls and enjoy the fresh air. After lunch, you continue toward the Dades Valley, known for its rock formations and scenic roads. You arrive in the late afternoon, check in to your hotel or guesthouse, and relax for the night.
On the final day, you travel through the Valley of Roses and the Skoura palm grove toward Ouarzazate. You visit the famous Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. After lunch, you cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, stopping along the way for panoramic views and photos.
