Your expedition begins in the morning with pickup from your hotel or the airport in Casablanca. You start with a visit to the famous Hassan II Mosque, located on the Atlantic Ocean and known for its impressive size and detailed architecture. Afterward, you travel north to Rabat, the capital city of Morocco. Here, you explore the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of the Oudayas, which offers beautiful views over the river and ocean. After lunch, you check in to your hotel in Rabat and enjoy a relaxed evening.
After breakfast, you leave Rabat and head inland toward Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities. You visit Bab Mansour and explore parts of the old medina while learning about the city’s history. The journey continues to Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage site with ancient Roman ruins and mosaics. After time to explore the site and have lunch, you continue to Fes. You arrive in the late afternoon, check in to your riad or hotel, and rest for the night.
Following breakfast, you enjoy a full-day guided tour of Fes, one of the oldest medieval cities in the world. You explore the ancient medina, visit Al Quaraouiyine University, Bou Inania Madrasa, Nejjarine Fountain, and the famous leather tanneries. Walking through narrow streets and busy markets, you learn about traditional crafts, daily life, and local history. You also stop at panoramic viewpoints overlooking the city. After lunch in a local restaurant, you return to your accommodation for the night.
Leaving Fes in the morning, you travel south through the Middle Atlas Mountains. The scenery changes from city streets to green hills and forest landscapes. You stop in Ifrane, known for its clean streets and European-style buildings, then continue to the cedar forests near Azrou, where you may see Barbary monkeys. After lunch, you drive through mountain roads and small villages toward Midelt, a quiet town between the Middle and High Atlas Mountains. You check in to your hotel, relax, and enjoy dinner before spending the night.
After breakfast, you leave Midelt and begin one of the most scenic drives of the tour. The road descends into the Ziz Valley, offering wide views of palm groves, rivers, and oasis villages. You stop several times at panoramic viewpoints to enjoy the scenery and take photos. The journey continues toward Errachidia, an important town near the desert. You check in to your hotel, relax, and enjoy a calm evening.
Following breakfast, you travel south through desert landscapes and small towns. You pass through Erfoud, known for fossils and date palms, where you may visit a local workshop. In the afternoon, you arrive in Merzouga, at the edge of the Sahara Desert. Here, you prepare for a camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes. Riding slowly through the golden sand, you enjoy the silence of the desert and watch the sunset before reaching your desert camp. Dinner, local music, and a peaceful night under the stars await.
You wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, followed by breakfast at the camp. This full day is dedicated to exploring the Merzouga area at a relaxed pace. You may visit nomad families, desert villages such as Khamlia, and learn about local music and traditions. There is time to walk in the dunes, relax, or enjoy optional activities like sandboarding or a 4×4 desert drive. You spend a second night near the dunes in a hotel or desert camp.
After breakfast, you leave the desert and travel west. You stop in Rissani, a traditional market town with a long history of desert trade. The journey continues to the Todra Gorges, where you walk between high canyon walls and enjoy the fresh air. After lunch, you continue through desert villages and scenic landscapes toward the Dades Valley. You check in to your hotel or guesthouse and relax for the night.
Following breakfast, you drive through the Valley of Roses and the Skoura palm grove, known for kasbahs and oasis scenery. You explore the area and enjoy the changing landscapes as you approach Ouarzazate, often called the gateway to the Sahara. You check in to your hotel, relax, and enjoy the evening.
On the final day, you visit the famous Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its traditional architecture and film history. After lunch, you cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, stopping along the way for panoramic views and photos.
