- Tour Plan :

Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Midelt

Your 3-day desert tour starts in the morning with pickup from your hotel or riad in Fes. Leaving the city behind, you travel south through the Middle Atlas Mountains, enjoying fresh air, green landscapes, and mountain views. The first stop is Ifrane, a clean and peaceful town often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” because of its European-style buildings and cool climate. Continuing the journey, you visit the cedar forests near Azrou, where you may see Barbary monkeys living freely among the trees. After time to walk and take photos, you continue through mountain roads and small villages toward Midelt, a town located between the Middle and High Atlas Mountains. Along the way, you stop for lunch and short breaks. In the afternoon, you arrive in Midelt, where you check in to your hotel, relax, and enjoy dinner before spending the night.

Day 2: Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, you leave Midelt and continue south as the landscape slowly changes from green mountains to desert scenery. You drive through the Ziz Valley, one of the most beautiful palm valleys in Morocco, with long stretches of date palms, rivers, and small villages built along the oasis. Several stops are made to enjoy panoramic views and take photos. The journey continues through desert towns such as Erfoud, known for fossils and date products, where you can visit a local workshop if time allows. In the afternoon, you arrive in Merzouga, at the edge of the Sahara Desert. Here, you prepare for a camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes. Riding your camel slowly through the golden sand, you enjoy the silence of the desert and watch the sunset over the dunes. You then arrive at your desert camp, where you enjoy a traditional dinner, local music around the fire, and a peaceful night under the stars.

Day 3: Merzouga – Sunrise – Ziz Valley – Fes

You wake up early in the morning to watch the sunrise over the Sahara dunes, one of the most memorable moments of the tour. After breakfast at the camp, you ride your camel back to Merzouga village or return by 4×4, depending on your preference. The journey back to Fes begins, following a different light and atmosphere through the same beautiful landscapes. You pass again through desert towns, palm oases, and the Middle Atlas Mountains, with stops along the way for rest, photos, and lunch. In the late afternoon or early evening, you arrive back in Fes, where you will be dropped off at your accommodation, marking the end of your 3-day desert adventure.
