Your tour begins in the morning with pickup from your hotel or the airport in Casablanca. You start with a visit to the Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world, located on the Atlantic coast. Afterward, you travel to Rabat, the capital of Morocco, where you visit the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of the Oudayas. In the afternoon, you continue to Fes, where you check in to your hotel or riad and relax for the night.
After breakfast, you enjoy a full-day guided tour of Fes, one of Morocco’s oldest and most important cities. You explore the ancient medina, visit Al Quaraouiyine University, Bou Inania Madrasa, Nejjarine Fountain, and the famous leather tanneries. You also stop at panoramic viewpoints overlooking the city. After the tour, you return to your accommodation for the night.
Leaving Fes after breakfast, you travel south through the Middle Atlas Mountains. You stop in Ifrane, known for its clean streets and alpine-style buildings, then continue to the cedar forests near Azrou, where you may see Barbary monkeys. The journey continues through mountain landscapes and small towns before reaching Midelt. You check in to your hotel, enjoy dinner, and spend the night in this quiet mountain town.
After breakfast, you leave Midelt and drive through the beautiful Ziz Valley, famous for its long palm groves and oasis villages. You stop at scenic viewpoints to take photos and enjoy the views. Passing through Erfoud, known for fossils and date palms, you arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon. Here, you start a camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes, enjoy a stunning desert sunset, and reach your desert camp for dinner, local music, and an overnight stay under the stars.
You wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, followed by breakfast at the camp. You then return to Merzouga village by camel or 4×4 and begin the journey west. You visit the Todra Gorges, where you have time to walk between the high canyon walls and enjoy the scenery. In the afternoon, you continue to the Dades Valley, known for its rock formations and scenic roads, where you spend the night in a hotel or guesthouse.
After breakfast, you drive through the Valley of Roses and the Skoura palm grove toward Ouarzazate. You visit the famous Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. In the afternoon, you cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, stopping for photos and panoramic views. You arrive in Marrakech in the evening and are dropped off at your accommodation, marking the end of your Sahara desert discovery tour.
