Upon arrival in Fes, you will be picked up from the airport or your accommodation and transferred to your hotel or riad. Depending on your arrival time, you can relax or take a short walk near your accommodation. Overnight stay in Fes.
After breakfast, you enjoy a full-day guided tour of Fes, one of the oldest medieval cities in the world. You explore the ancient medina, visit Al Quaraouiyine University, Bou Inania Madrasa, Nejjarine Fountain, and the famous leather tanneries. You also stop at panoramic viewpoints overlooking the city. After the tour, you return to your accommodation for the night.
After breakfast, you travel to Meknes, an imperial city known for its historic gates and monuments, including Bab Mansour. You then continue to the Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage site with well-preserved mosaics. In the afternoon, you travel south into the Middle Atlas Mountains, where you check in to your hotel and enjoy a peaceful night.
Following breakfast, you continue through the Middle Atlas region. You stop in Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its alpine-style buildings and clean streets. The journey continues to the cedar forests near Azrou, where you may see Barbary monkeys. After lunch, you drive through mountain landscapes to Midelt, where you spend the night.
After breakfast, the scenery changes as you travel south through the Ziz Valley, famous for its long palm groves and oasis villages. You stop at panoramic viewpoints to enjoy the views and take photos. Passing through Erfoud, known for fossils and date palms, you arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon. Here, you begin a camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes, watch the sunset, and reach your desert camp for dinner, music, and an overnight stay under the stars.
You wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes and enjoy breakfast at the camp. This full day is dedicated to exploring the Merzouga region. You may visit nomad families, desert villages, nearby oases, and enjoy the peaceful desert environment. Optional activities such as sandboarding or a short 4×4 excursion are available. You spend a second night near the dunes in a hotel or desert camp.
After breakfast, you leave Merzouga and travel to Rissani, a traditional market town with a strong desert history. The journey continues to the Todra Gorges, where you have time to walk between the high canyon walls. In the afternoon, you continue to the Dades Valley, known for its rock formations and scenic roads. Overnight stay in the valley.
Following breakfast, you drive through the Valley of Roses and Skoura palm grove. You visit kasbahs and enjoy views of desert landscapes and oases. In the afternoon, you arrive in Ouarzazate, often called the gateway to the Sahara, where you check in to your hotel and relax.
After breakfast, you visit the famous Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. You then cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, stopping for photos and panoramic views. In the evening, you arrive in Marrakech, where you spend the night.
